Manufacturing Specialist-SMT

About the role

Our state-of-the-art facility in Erie has an exciting opportunity for experienced SMT Machine Operators. Reporting to the SMT Manager, our SMT Machine Operators are integral part of the team tasked with loading, set-up and staging of product on our SMT lines.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup and tear down on all feeders for all pick and place machines
• Assist the operator in setting up and running all pick and place machines
• Perform manual placement of SMT and PIH components

Requirements

• Previous SMT experience
• Working knowledge of mechanics and electrical systems
• Ability to read and understand load plans
• Basic component identification skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving and innovative solution capabilities
• Above average communication ability using strong listening skills and logical, systematic approach to assimilating and sharing information in all areas

Qualifications

• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift 25 - 50 pounds
• Excellent eyesight and hearing (cannot be color blind)

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to lift 25 - 50 pounds
• Work environment includes machines and tools with sharp moving parts and hot surfaces
• Employees may be exposed to moderate noise levels and processes that utilize solder, potting material, conformal coating and cleaning agents, which have various odors
• Must wear safety glasses, ESD smocks, ESD straps at all times when on the production floor (all of these items are provided by 4Front)

ITAR Requirements

To conform with International Traffic in Arms Regulars (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or actively working towards obtaining the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
