Manufacturing Specialist I- SMT

About the role

Spartronics builds products that live depend on. We are a leading provider of fail-safe electronics solutions for Aerospace, Defense, Medical, and Commercial applications. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Specialist I - SMT to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and load feeders, boards, and materials for SMT line operations under supervision.
• Operate basic SMT equipment such as solder paste printer and assist with SPI setup.
• Visually inspect boards for obvious defects and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of SMT workstations and tools.
• Follow detailed work instructions and comply with ESD and safety protocols.
• Perform other duties or support other areas as needed based on business requirements or production flow.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to follow written instructions.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work standing for extended periods.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to interpret work instructions, documentation, and safety requirements.
• Lift and carry materials or feeder reels up to 25 lbs.
• Stand and walk for extended periods in SMT production areas.
• Manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
• Visual acuity for inspecting boards and components.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics or SMT manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ITAR) is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of SMT equipment and processes is preferred.

Pay

Competitive compensation package including base salary and potential for performance-based bonuses.

Schedule

Daytime shifts Monday-Thursday ("4/10" schedule) with overtime on Fridays and/or Saturdays.
