Manufacturing Specialist 1 - Material Plan & Execution

Job Responsibilities

• Aid in creating and executing material plans aligned with production schedules and forecasts.
• Keep track of inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
• Create and submit purchase requisitions and purchase orders for manufacturing materials.
• Work with suppliers to monitor order statuses, address discrepancies, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Coordinate the movement of materials within the manufacturing facility, including receiving, storing, and issuing to production lines.
• Investigate and resolve material-related problems, and implement solutions.
• Enter and maintain accurate material data in the company’s ERP system.
• Promote efficiency and effectiveness in material planning and logistics through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety and quality standards.

Job Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• An associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, or materials planning role.
• A basic understanding of inventory management and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with an ERP system (such as SAP, Oracle) is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
