Job Responsibilities
- Aid in creating and executing material plans aligned with production schedules and forecasts.
- Keep track of inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
- Create and submit purchase requisitions and purchase orders for manufacturing materials.
- Work with suppliers to monitor order statuses, address discrepancies, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Coordinate the movement of materials within the manufacturing facility, including receiving, storing, and issuing to production lines.
- Investigate and resolve material-related problems, and implement solutions.
- Enter and maintain accurate material data in the company’s ERP system.
- Promote efficiency and effectiveness in material planning and logistics through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety and quality standards.
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, or materials planning role.
- A basic understanding of inventory management and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with an ERP system (such as SAP, Oracle) is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
