Manufacturing Quality Engineering Tech - 2nd Shift

The Manufacturing Engineering organization within the Asheville site is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Quality Engineer Technician (MQE) to help with FAI development and Continuous Improvement activities on assigned hardware. This is a 2nd shift position that operates on a night shift schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (4 pm – 2:30 am).

Responsibilities

• Work with Cell Leaders, Cell Members, Quality and Engineering staff to assure manufacturing compliance respective to the use of all existing manufacturing/process equipment, respective gages and fixtures.
• Assist in the development and construction of manufacturing cells.
• Review tooling requirements and aid in the tool designs.
• Order specially designed cutting tools and other operating supplies needed to support designed manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain standard work.
• Improve current manufacturing processes to reduce costs and increase reliability and control of these operations.
• Gather all necessary data respective to non-conformances and provide relentless root cause and positive corrective actions.
• Lead FAI development and new Process Tryout on the Shop Floor.
• Be the first point of contact on assigned parts and manufacturing processes.
• Organize and Lead Continuous Improvement activities on assigned hardware.
• Drive actions to closure.
