Shift

12-hour Swing Shift in Henderson, NC
2 weeks on 1st shift (7 am – 7 pm) & 2 weeks on 3rd shift (7 pm – 7 am)
14 scheduled days per month & every other weekend off

About the role

The manufacturing operator in Henderson will be charging, sampling, and discharging ball mills, charging feed tanks, spray drying powder, performing ball mill cleanouts, washing and screening mill media and completing general housekeeping.

Responsibilities

Retrieve the proper feed materials.
Complete all paperwork and/or computer entry correctly and fully.
Clean all the equipment: powder hoppers, mixing equipment, blenders, hand tools, and material handling equipment.
Ensure clean and safe workplace.
Set the mill timer for the prescribed milling time and record the start and stop times.
Sample the mill safely, ensuring the sample represents the population, take it to the lab, and enter the data in the spreadsheet.
Monitor and maintain the dryer temperatures, pressures, flows, atmospheres, and record keeping.
Make labels and place them on the appropriate powder containers.
Weigh the finished powder, store it, record the storage location in SAP and move the powder as needed.
Clean all the equipment: powder hoppers, ball mills, screener, cooling unit, spray dryer, vacuum dryer, hand tools, and material handling equipment.
Assist in the enforcement of EHS and quality methodologies.
