Manufacturing Production Supervisor

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group develops and supports advanced flight control systems, avionics, and mission-critical technologies for military aircraft around the world. Responsibilities

• Take daily operational ownership of one or more teams in our Machine Shop.
• Lead a team of 30–40 machinists while driving performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Shape team capability through workforce planning, hiring, training, development, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure production teams are equipped to meet today’s customer commitments and prepared for tomorrow’s challenges.
• Work closely with site support functions and the Value Stream organization to keep processes aligned with site strategy and operational objectives.
• Manage a team of 30–40 employees in a machine shop setting.
• Develop Value Stream Improvement Plans with the Manufacturing Manager to achieve high-impact results.
• Identify and measure short- and long-term team goals that comply with organizational strategic plans.
• Use established standard work documents to assure utilization and efficiency of personnel and equipment, providing optimum flow at the least possible cost to meet delivery commitments.
• Hire new employees and evaluate existing personnel for performance management and talent growth and development.
• Proactively address and resolve all employee relations matters in a timely manner to mitigate potential challenges.
• Manage employee counseling, discipline, and performance feedback.
• Ensure accurate employee time reporting and administer all personnel policies fairly and consistently.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• At least 5 years of direct management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Pay

Buffalo, NY: $75,000.00–$110,000.00 annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of Moog’s salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and performance.
