About the role
The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor is responsible for maintaining production records, enforcing safety, supervising employees, and managing plant security. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience and 3 years of direct supervisory experience. The position reports to the Operations Manager and interacts with all required functions to ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintains production records for production counts and standard hours.
- Enforces safe working environments and activities.
- Supervises all employees in the manufacturing departments.
- Owes responsibility for plant security.
- Recommends disciplinary action for all production personnel.
- Adheres/enforces company rules: TS16949, Quality guidelines, and HR published procedures.
- Owns responsibility for production runs, proper change over procedures, quality of product, and maximizing the production area's full potential.
- Reports immediately to the Operations Manager any difficulties arising due to conditions of machines or employee actions.
- Sets up and assigns personnel to specific jobs according to scheduling requirements.
- Ensures availability of component parts and supplies.
- Ensures proper installation of safety equipment and adherence to safety regulations.
- Troubleshoots manufacturing process problems and rectifies accordingly.
- Maintains efficiency levels at an optimum level and explains deviations from expected levels.
- Owns responsibility for continuous improvement within the department.
- Provides prompt, accurate documentation of machine, material or tooling problems to appropriate functional area for resolution.
- Takes a proactive approach to ensure working/processing environment meets level of expectations at all times and reports discrepancies, i.e. housekeeping, machine condition, material, tooling and personnel competence.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years Manufacturing experience required (cold forming, preferred).
- Associates degree (preferred).
- Strong leadership and effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of production equipment/tooling.
- Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight and weekend shifts, to work overtime as needed, and to respond to urgent issues at the plant when they arise.
- Specialized supervision training and management courses, including Six Sigma certifications, preferred.

Pay
$70,900.00 - $114,100.00 annually
Schedule
Full-time flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight and weekend shifts, to work overtime as needed, and to respond to urgent issues at the plant when they arise.
