Manufacturing & Harnessing Technician 2/3

Primary Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, maintain, and complete paperwork and electronic data associated with hardware assemblies to maintain data and material traceability.
• Work with electrical harness assemblies, including interpreting schematics and building compliant electrical assemblies as well as conducting electrical tests such as continuity and insulation resistance.
• Routewire harnesses on flight hardware.
• Follow procedure and direction from management as well as work from drawings or sketches, and collaborate with engineers to develop or proof new processes.
• Work with soldering, wire stripping, contact crimping, contact insertion and removal, harness routing and strain relief.
• Work with structural bonding and application of coatings using various epoxy and silicone adhesive products.
• Work to determine the optimum order of assembly for complex harnesses, mechanical structures, and devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and/or related experience
• US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• Ability to read, write and work to instructions written in English
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds
• Ability to be on feet for up to various hours each day
• Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and different shifts based on demanding manufacturing schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• J-STD-001 Soldering Certification (expired okay- current preferred)
• NASA STD 8739.1 Certification (expired okay- current preferred)
• NASA STD 8739.4 Certification (expired okay- current preferred)
• Knowledge of ESD and Flight Hardware handing
• Demonstrated Mechanical Ability
• Familiarity with solar cell technology and CIC wiring
• Proficient use of basic shop arithmetic
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Initiative, self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $93,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $111,000.00
