Manufacturing Technician 2

Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect assembled and sub assembly products with use of a microscope.
• Bench top assembly of coated optics using adhesives and drawings for product assembly.
• Assemble electronic and optical devices and components.
• Use basic electronic assembly tools, hand power equipment, and various electronic test equipment to perform troubleshooting, testing and repairs of electronic and optical equipment.
• Able to understand and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, prints, and bills of materials.
• Knowledge of working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word).
• Inspect and rework defective sub-assemblies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of microscope experience. 2+ years preferred.
• Valid driver's license, satisfactory drug testing and background check required.
• High school graduate, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
• Demonstrated success with maintaining quality control and data management.
• Ability to learn new technology, software, & professional practices.
• Able to communicate updates and work-related progress to upper management both written and verbal.
• Able to pass preplacement physical.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• This position works under usual office conditions.
• The employee is occasionally required to access the warehouse for inventory and materials as well manipulate equipment and instruments with precise hand and finger movements for specific periods of time.
• Must be able to reach, grasp with both hands.
• Physical demands include ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
