About the role

This position supports the Manufacturing Operations Organization within the Aeronautics Systems sector at Northrop Grumman's Iuka, MS site. It involves hands-on work in hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems, requiring a high school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies
  • Perform precision drilling, countersinking, and use calibrated tools
  • Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
  • Perform part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming
  • Measure parts with precision tools like micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
  • Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes and verify quality
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectiveness

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, or maintenance environment
  • Current/active U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period
  • U.S. Citizenship required for clearance
  • Successfully complete and pass the “ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance” within a reasonable time period
  • Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitive work, including bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications, and operating procedures
  • Ability to read engineering drawings

Pay

$47,300.00 - $78,800.00
