Manufacturing Equip Maint Technician (Swing)

About the role

We are hiring equipment maintenance technicians for our high-technology printed circuit board (PCB) facility in San Jose, CA. This facility supports leading-edge OEMs in the defense, aerospace, data center, and semiconductor markets. Positions are available at all levels and on all shifts for candidates with experience maintaining conveyorized equipment, CNC machines, lamination presses, plating equipment, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance according to assigned equipment responsibilities.
• Coordinate activities and partner with area manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Work safely on control cabinets and electrical panels.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment evaluations.
• Rebuild and repair manufacturing equipment as required.
• Perform equipment modifications as directed by Manager.
• Remove and install old and new equipment, including fabrication, plumbing, welding, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Perform roof repairs and work safely near or with chemicals.
• Other related tasks as assigned.
• Available to work overtime and weekends when needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in printed circuit board, electroplating, semiconductor, or other process-related industries is a plus.
• Associates or two-year technical degree preferred.
• Mechanically inclined; able to work with a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift and work with high and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Plumbing skills (sweat copper, thread pipe, work with PVC and Poly Pro).
• Some heavy lifting required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (ITAR facility requirement).

Pay

Salary Range (annual): $74,880.00 - $77,896.00
