About the role
Sanmina Corporation is hiring equipment maintenance technicians for our high-technology printed circuit board (PCB) facility in San Jose, CA. This facility supports leading-edge OEMs in the defense, aerospace, data center, and semiconductor markets. Positions are available at all levels and on all shifts.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance according to assigned equipment responsibilities.
- Coordinates activity and partners with area manufacturing and engineering teams.
- Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Works safely on control cabinets and electrical panels.
- Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings.
- Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment evaluations.
- Rebuilds and repairs manufacturing equipment as required.
- Performs equipment modifications as directed by Manager.
- Removes and installs old and new equipment, including fabrication, plumbing, welding, electrical troubleshooting, roof repairs, and working with chemicals.
- Available to work overtime and weekends when needed.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in printed circuit board, electroplating, semiconductor, or other process-related industries is a plus.
- Associates or two-year technical degree is preferred.
- Mechanically inclined, able to work with a variety of hand tools and power tools, operate a forklift, and handle electric high and low voltage.
- Plumbing skills (sweat copper, tread pipe, work with PVC and Poly Pro).
- Some heavy lifting required.
- Overtime, emergency calls, and some weekend work as needed.
- Prior Sanmina experience and systems knowledge is preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident (ITAR facility requirement).
Pay
Annual salary range: $77,255.00 - $93,600.00. Actual base pay within this range will be based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills.
