Manufacturing Equip Maint Technician* (Swing)

About the role

We are hiring equipment maintenance technicians for our high-technology printed circuit board (PCB) facility in San Jose, CA. This facility supports leading-edge OEMs in the defense, aerospace, data center, and semiconductor markets. Positions are available at all levels and on all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance according to assigned equipment responsibilities.
• Coordinates activity and partners with area manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Works safely on control cabinets and electrical panels.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings.
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment evaluations.
• Rebuilds and repairs manufacturing equipment as required.
• Performs equipment modifications as directed by Manager.
• Removes and installs old and new equipment, including fabrication, plumbing, welding, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Handles roof repairs and works closely with or near chemicals while following established safety guidelines.
• Available to work overtime and weekends when needed.
• Other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in printed circuit board, electroplating, semiconductor, or other process-related industry is a plus.
• Associates or two-year technical degree is preferred.
• Ability to perform some heavy lifting.
• Mechanically inclined, able to work with a variety of hand tools and power tools, operate a forklift, and handle electric high and low voltage.
• Plumbing skills (sweat copper, thread pipe, work with PVC and Poly Pro).
• Prior Sanmina experience and systems knowledge is preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen or lawful permanent resident (ITAR facility requirement).

Pay

Annual salary range: $77,255.00 - $93,600.00. Actual base pay within this range will be based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills.
