Manufacturing Equip Maint Technician

About the role
Responsible for the maintenance and operation of surface mount, wave soldering, selective wave soldering, and other manufacturing equipment. Includes set-up, repair, operation, preventative maintenance, and adjustment of Fuji and ASM SMT equipment as well as Wave and Selective Soldering Equipment. Monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. Responsible for quality assurance, uptime, and completing documentation for equipment and area. Works with minimal instruction and accepts constructive criticism. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform set-up, repair, and preventative maintenance on Fuji and ASM SMT machines, Wave and Selective Soldering equipment
- Monitor and maintain equipment to meet company standards
- Ensure quality assurance and uptime of equipment
- Complete documentation for equipment and work area
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems independently
- Interface professionally with peers, operators, and managers
- Work overtime as needed
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship (required due to Department of Defense contract)
- Strong working knowledge of Siemens and Fuji SMT machines, Wave and Selective Soldering equipment, or related experience
- Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Self-sufficient with ability to resolve issues without assistance
- Team player mindset
Qualifications
- 2-year Technical Degree preferred (not required)
- 1-2 years of Technician experience
- Experience with tooling development or manual machinist work is a plus
