About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer II (ME II) supports operations and production requirements, working closely with Design and Project Engineering teams. This role involves translating design requirements into production implementation activities, ensuring compliance with customer/product procurement specifications, validating manufacturing processes, and driving cost reduction initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for and focal point for all technical aspects of assigned projects in categories such as compliance with customer/product procurement specifications, validation of manufacturing processes, and meeting cost targets.
- Initiates and supports product manufacturability reviews, advanced quality planning (AQP), tooling requirements, and visual work instructions (VWI).
- Develops and implements new manufacturing and tooling concepts, providing data for estimating and preparing reports on areas for improvement.
- Works on or leads a Production Support Team, addressing manufacturing issues and performing root cause and preventive actions.
- Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area, adhering to safety standards and quality practices.
- Performs related work as required, following Senior Aerospace SSP’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another Engineering discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience in an Aerospace environment, or
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another Engineering discipline with 2+ years of engineering experience in an Aerospace environment.
- Experience with fast-paced manufacturing environments and knowledge of sheet metal processes, geometric tolerances, and aerospace materials preferred.
Additional Information
- Annual Target Salary: $85,000.00
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm
