What You Will Do
- Oversight and management of large capital projects that increase plant capacity, reduce costs, improve productivity, reduce job hazards, and/or improve product quality.
- Development and implementation of manufacturing engineering department standards and policies.
- Training, coaching, and support across the department/organization.
- Process engineering change requests.
- Troubleshooting production problems.
- Aiding in troubleshooting assembly and fabrication equipment.
- Optimizing work-station layout.
- Justifying, specifying, and managing capital projects and equipment.
- Introducing new products (BOM scrubbing, manufacturing trial lots, assisting in training, and collaborating with Design Engineering on production issues related to Design for Manufacturing).
- Creating and maintaining Bill of Materials and Routings (Assembly and Fabrication).
- Supporting and/or leading Lean projects.
- Setting operational objectives and delivering results that significantly impact the achievement of broader operational goals.
- Defining and explaining practices, standards, policies, etc., to others internally.
- Adapting or enhancing quality or value in existing methods as part of daily activities.
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related manufacturing discipline.
- 6+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering experience.
- Lean manufacturing principles (material flow, material presentation, process flow, workstation design).
- Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific discipline, integrating theory and principles with organizational practices.
