Responsibilities
- Cook up and implement moderate complexity training initiatives to support manufacturing.
- Identify, specify, and justify moderate complexity capital expenditures.
- Purchase and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Recognize, recommend, and validate design and process changes to improve manufacturability.
- Implement changes with product design engineering.
- Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, department layout, and machinery efficiency.
- Analyze and make recommendations using summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning.
- Lead and support safety, 5S, and Lean initiatives.
- Complete internal Lean Leader certification.
- Mentor and train other team members.
- Support moderately complex team projects involving individuals from various departments to ensure integration between manufacturing, sales, finance, marketing, and product engineering.
- Optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
- Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering required.
- 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in engineering required.
- Basic CAD skills strongly preferred.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Lean concepts preferred.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in engineering required.
- CAD skills required.
- 2 Year / Associate Degree in engineering or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.
- 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in engineering preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- General fluency in SAP.
- Experience with Lean concepts.
