Manufacturing Engineer I

11-month contract with a potential for extension. W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Schedule

Fully onsite, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Support production needs in real time (line support) through process, tooling, and documentation solutions across all areas of the business
• Drive safety, quality, and delivery improvements and projects
• Execute small to medium sized projects
• Create and maintain accurate work instructions
• Act as a go-to technical resource on the floor

Work Instructions and Process Documentation

• Own the accuracy, usability, and timeliness of process documentation
• Review production issues tied to documentation
• Update work instructions proactively
• Validate instructions on the floor with operators

Process Ownership and Support

• Serve as the first line of support for process-related issues
• Reduce repeat process issues
• Provide solution or escalation within 24 hours of issue
• Investigate root cause of issues in production
• Support in operations meetings (PQP, End of Day, etc.)

Tooling and Equipment Support

• Ensure tooling supports efficient and repeatable processes
• Resolve or escalate tooling improvements within 48 hours
• Follow MOC and MCR processes for tooling improvements, including associated documentation
• Complete validation testing for any new tools on the floor

Project Execution

• Independently execute assigned small to medium-sized projects with clear deliverables and timelines
• Complete projects on time (> 90%)
• Deliver on defined and measured outputs
• Document project progress
• Use problem-solving and project management tools (e.g., Excel, Time Studies, Cross-Functional Meetings, 5WHY, MOC)

Continuous Improvement

• Actively improve processes, not just maintain them
• Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions
• Implement and validate improvements
• Work across functions (Operations, QE, HSE) to achieve overall impact

Quality and Process Control

• Ensure processes are consistent by controlling and documenting process changes
• Support root cause analysis
• Update process documentation after changes
• Participate in problem-solving

Communication and Cross-Functional Coordination

• Communicate independently and clearly across production, engineering, and support teams
• Provide clear updates on projects and action items in meetings or via email
• Coordinate effectively during changes and projects, including cross-functional collaboration and decision-making
• Create and attend meetings

Requirements

• High school diploma (required)
