Manufacturing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develops, improves, and monitors standards, processes, and performance to reduce costs and improve production operations
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, quality improvements, and cost-reduction opportunities
• Provides objective, functional, and financial engineering guidance on capital expenditures to site management and implementation support
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions
• Provide lean manufacturing guidance to operations through coordination with the site Lean Manager
• Investigate production issues using a systematic approach to root cause and corrective actions (8D problem solving methodology)

Key Skills And Competencies

• Prior experience within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing (preferred)
• Effective communication with all levels of plant personnel
• Proficiency within welding and assembly processes
• Coordination of work activities and management of multiple tasks and priorities
• Proven 8D problem-solving experience

Education And Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Associates degree in a technical field with equivalent technical experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts
• Experience within a lean manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Proven 8D problem-solving experience
