- Provide direct, hands-on support to assembly teams during custom machine builds, helping resolve mechanical fit, alignment, and integration issues in real time to keep production moving.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assembly and manufacturing when design questions arise, translating floor concerns into clear feedback for engineering and ensuring timely responses that support build progress.
- Identify, document, and coordinate resolution of nonconformances, missing information, or design conflicts impacting assembly, ensuring issues are prioritized and resolved without disrupting production schedules.
- Advocate for assembly and manufacturing needs by communicating practical build challenges, tooling constraints, and process inefficiencies to engineering to improve future custom machine designs.
- Actively participate in the mechanical assembly of equipment when capacity allows, supporting production throughput while gaining first-hand insight into build challenges.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering roles preferred.
- Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam, data analysis programs, and related software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Elevated level of technical expertise.
- Strong analytical thinker.
