Overview
US Conec, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join their Operations team. The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes in the plant, addressing manufacturing issues, and maximizing efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develops assembly instructions for new products to ensure quality and speedy inspection.
- Provides timely, accurate, and competitive piece rates for current and developing products.
- Studies and records time, motion, methods in speeds and performance of production and other work operations to establish standard production rates and to improve efficiency.
- Institutes changes in the production processes and/or recommends adjustments to produce pricing.
- Communicates with customers and engineering staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Confers with vendors to determine part specification and recommends the purchase of equipment and materials used in production.
- Develops and writes equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposals for integrating machinery and equipment into manufacturing processes.
- Prepares detailed quotations for fixture, tool, and engineering requirements to be used in developing a formal quote for customer.
- Covers all aspects of a job including tool design, fixture design, numerical control, part programming, machine delivery, prove-out, and runoff of a customer's part.
- Provides detailed documentation of a job including tool and fixture drawings, definition of setup, and operational procedures.
- Tests ability of machines to perform designated tasks.
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 3 years of engineering experience required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to effectively present information to management team.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software.
- General knowledge of industry standards.
