Overview

US Conec, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join their Operations team. The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes in the plant, addressing manufacturing issues, and maximizing efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develops assembly instructions for new products to ensure quality and speedy inspection.
  • Provides timely, accurate, and competitive piece rates for current and developing products.
  • Studies and records time, motion, methods in speeds and performance of production and other work operations to establish standard production rates and to improve efficiency.
  • Institutes changes in the production processes and/or recommends adjustments to produce pricing.
  • Communicates with customers and engineering staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Confers with vendors to determine part specification and recommends the purchase of equipment and materials used in production.
  • Develops and writes equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposals for integrating machinery and equipment into manufacturing processes.
  • Prepares detailed quotations for fixture, tool, and engineering requirements to be used in developing a formal quote for customer.
  • Covers all aspects of a job including tool design, fixture design, numerical control, part programming, machine delivery, prove-out, and runoff of a customer's part.
  • Provides detailed documentation of a job including tool and fixture drawings, definition of setup, and operational procedures.
  • Tests ability of machines to perform designated tasks.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 3 years of engineering experience required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management team.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software.
  • General knowledge of industry standards.
