Responsibilities
- Aid plant teams in setting and monitoring CI metrics
- Select and utilize appropriate CI tools to enhance SQR metrics such as line capacity, efficiency, process reliability, MTBF, etc.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies including DMAIC to manage projects aimed at achieving annual savings
- Create and implement control plans to sustain improvements
- Guide teams in problem-solving, waste reduction, and variation elimination
- Participate in project management activities including commissioning, qualification, and verification for capital projects
- Mentor and coach team members on CI and Lean/Six Sigma techniques
- Analyze downtime data to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships to advance work objectives
- Identify and analyze issues and opportunities, drawing conclusions from varied data sources
- Occasionally travel to attend CI training and conferences
- Comply with established safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Accountable for meeting the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work in environments involving ingredients and finished products containing allergens
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent manufacturing experience
- At least 2 years of proven leadership experience with teams
- Manufacturing background
- Ability to lead teams in creating actionable solutions
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances
- Strong interpersonal skills to leverage diverse team dynamics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Black Belt certification preferred
- Strong negotiation, oral, and written communication skills
- Advanced mathematical, analytical, and conceptual skills
- Desired but not required: experience in developing/reengineering business processes, Green Belt certification, Lean or Six Sigma implementation experience, and exposure to statistical analysis
