Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Leader
About the role
The Focus Factory ITM Leader role at Hitachi Energy offers the opportunity to lead meaningful change at the factory level by integrating Lean operating systems with digital innovation. This role plays a critical role in shaping a culture of operational excellence at the Jefferson City facility.
Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement using ITM (Lean) fundamentals supported by digital solutions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to build a strong improvement and digital mindset
- Facilitate Kaizen events using tools such as 5S, visual management, daily management, and value stream mapping
- Develop and sustain KPI visibility through Power BI dashboards and performance reviews
- Digitize manual processes using Power Apps or other low-code tools
- Support ITM assessments, action plans, and standardized ways of working
- Lead cost-out and productivity initiatives using Lean methods and data analytics
- Coach and develop leaders and teams in problem-solving and data-driven decision-making
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, materials, or process improvement. Experience leading Kaizen events and influencing across functions and levels is required. Working knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and performance management, and experience with Power Apps or other low-code platforms are preferred. Lean and/or Six Sigma certification, or experience with ITM, TPS, DBS, HOS, or similar systems, is a plus.
