Responsibilities
- Aid plant teams in setting and monitoring CI metrics.
- Select and utilize appropriate CI tools to enhance line capacity, efficiency, process reliability, and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF).
- Employ Lean Six Sigma methodologies and the DMAIC process to manage projects, aiming for annual savings and providing technical support for root cause analyses.
- Create control plans to sustain improvements.
- Guide teams in resolving issues, eliminating waste, and reducing variability.
- Engage in project management activities, including commissioning, qualification, and verification for capital projects.
- Mentor and coach team members on CI and Lean/Six Sigma techniques.
- Utilize Kroger’s downtime system to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships to advance work objectives.
- Identify and analyze issues and opportunities, comparing data from various sources to inform decision-making.
- Occasionally travel to attend CI training and conferences.
- Comply with established programs, policies, and practices to ensure safe, high-quality food production.
- Accountability for adhering to Kroger’s Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be capable of working around ingredients and finished products containing food allergens.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of proven leadership experience with teams.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Proven ability to lead teams in creating actionable solutions.
- Flexibility to adapt to change and adjust promptly.
- Strong capability to leverage diverse team dynamics for achieving results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Black Belt certification and completion of Level 8 requirements.
- Green Belt certification and completion of Level 7 requirements.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma implementation and project management.
- Training or exposure to statistical analysis.
