About the role
We are looking for a Manufacturing Business Process Consultant to support a large-scale manufacturing transformation initiative. This role is ideal for a hands-on Business Analyst with strong manufacturing experience who enjoys working in fast-paced, evolving environments. You will partner closely with plant operations, production teams, and program leadership to understand current-state business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, gather requirements, and support strategic transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Partner with manufacturing and production teams to understand current business processes and operational workflows.
- Conduct business process mapping, workflow analysis, and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Perform gap analysis between current and future state processes.
- Work directly with plant personnel to understand operational challenges and recommend process improvements.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams, action items, and project activities across cross-functional teams.
- Support manufacturing transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare business documentation including process flows, requirements documents, meeting notes, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project leadership throughout discovery and implementation phases.
- Provide regular project updates, status reporting, and support leadership decision-making.
- Adapt to evolving project priorities and support additional initiatives as the program expands.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Analysis or Business Process Improvement experience.
- Hands-on experience within a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Strong experience conducting business process mapping and process documentation.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience facilitating discussions with production teams, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing transformation or operational excellence initiatives.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Exposure to engineering or industrial manufacturing processes.
- Experience coordinating projects or supporting PMO activities.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Microsoft Project.
