Responsibilities
- Feed books/signatures into machine
- Pack books into cartons
- Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
- Perform hand operations as required
- Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace
Requirements
- No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
- We’re looking for people who:
- Have experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
- High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
- Able to read and comprehend instructions
- Able to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
- Can read basic job instructions and measurements
- Show up reliably and work well with a team
Qualifications
- It’s a plus if you have:
- Print, bindery, or finishing experience
- Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment
Physical & Work Environment
- On your feet for most of the shift
- Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
