Manufacturing Associate-Bindery/Finishing

About the Role

Join Sheridan as a Manufacturing Associate in the Finishing/Bindery department on the nighttime shift (7p – 7a). This full-time position offers competitive pay with overtime opportunities. We’ll train you to run high-speed bindery equipment, producing books, catalogs, and printed materials you can see and hold.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machines
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstations
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Requirements

• No bindery experience required—we’ll train you
• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, work orders, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction) and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Comfort using basic tools and reading job instructions/measurements
• Reliability and ability to work well in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
