About the Role
Join Sheridan as a Manufacturing Associate in the Finishing/Bindery department on the nighttime shift (7p – 7a). This full-time position offers competitive pay with overtime opportunities. We’ll train you to run high-speed bindery equipment, producing books, catalogs, and printed materials you can see and hold.
Responsibilities
- Feed books/signatures into machines
- Pack books into cartons
- Safely move materials/books to and from workstations
- Perform hand operations as required
- Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Requirements
- No bindery experience required—we’ll train you
- Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, work orders, safety rules, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction) and ability to use a measuring device
- Basic problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Comfort using basic tools and reading job instructions/measurements
- Reliability and ability to work well in a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Print, bindery, or finishing experience
- Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment
Physical & Work Environment
- On your feet for most of the shift
- Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
