Manufactured Home Construction Worker

About the role

We are seeking a Manufactured Home Construction Worker to join our U.S. Rebuild team in Western North Carolina. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of Manufactured Home Construction Worker, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
• Work jointly with the Project Superintendent, Construction Foremen, and Logistics Coordinators to construct and/or repair homes in the affected area.
• Work with and lead volunteers.
• Work with other construction workers and hired subcontractors when needed, ensuring quality of each project is maintained to the highest possible standard.
• Provide safety training and general project training for team members at the job site.
• Assure all work is done according to safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Construct and/or repair manufactured homes.
• Lead and train volunteers and team members on safety and project standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors and subcontractors to maintain high-quality workmanship.

Requirements

• One-year certificate from college or technical school and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain a driver's medical card (required).
• Trade certifications (electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, and finish carpentry) (preferred).
• Class A Commercial Drivers License (preferred).
