Manual Machinist - Roemer Machine

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment to manufacture, repair, and modify precision metal components.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings, machine parts to specified tolerances.
• Verify finished work using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.

Requirements

• Previous experience with manual machining methods, tooling, metal properties, speeds, feeds, and tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications.
• Skilled with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
• Enjoy working in a physical role. You'll be on your feet operating machinery and tools throughout the day, which could also include lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work safely and independently in an industrial machine shop environment.

Pay

Pay for this position starts at $30/hour, based on experience.

Schedule

This position works Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm each day, with the option for overtime.
