Manual Machinist

About the role

Join our team as a Machinist working on hydraulic components and parts. You'll be at the heart of our operations, machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials within tolerance specifications. This role involves interpreting instructions and blueprints, and operating a range of equipment including manual and CNC lathes and mills, horizontal and vertical boring mills, horizontal saws, overhead cranes, and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Machine ferrous and non-ferrous materials to precise tolerances.
• Interpret instructions and blueprints accurately.
• Operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, horizontal and vertical boring mills, horizontal saws, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of machine shop experience, ideally in a hydraulics industry setting (experience in other industries will also be considered).
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and indicators.
• CNC and manual tooling experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs and pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Normal dexterity.
• Frequent standing, sitting, and movement up and down stairs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying noise levels (quiet in office settings, moderate to loud in other areas, with potential for sudden loud noises).

Schedule

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
