Manual Machinist

Description Pay: $26 per hour and higher based on experience/capabilities Job Type: Full-Time Gage Bilt has been a leading manufacturer of high-quality aerospace and industrial rivet and lockbolt installation tools for 70 years. We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to support low-volume production, special orders, tooling, and fixture work within our manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical ability who is comfortable working independently and handling a variety of manual machining tasks throughout the day. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and part drawingsOperate manual Bridgeports, lathes, arbor presses, and welding equipmentUse measuring instruments to inspect parts and verify dimensionsComplete paperwork and documentation for work performedPerform low-volume production work typically ranging from 5–20 piecesProduce special orders, alterations, and one-off parts as neededAssist with tool making and fixture-building projectsSupport the grind department when neededPerform routine maintenance on machines and equipmentMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaFollow company and plant safety requirements Qualifications Previous manual machining experience requiredStrong mechanical aptitudeExperience using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other measuring equipmentStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWelding experience is a plusTool making and fixture-building experience preferred What We Offer Company sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with 4% company matchPTOEducation Assistance Opportunities to learn new skills and grow within the company
