About the role
Responsible for operating manual machining equipment to produce precise metal parts according to blueprints and specifications. Duties include setting up machines, performing operations, inspecting workpieces, and maintaining tools.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- Set up and adjust machines to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Perform precision cutting, drilling, turning, and grinding operations
- Inspect machined parts for conformance to design specifications and quality standards
- Maintain and clean machining tools and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of related experience in manual machining
- Proficiency with manual machining equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required for on-site work)
Qualifications
- Experience with manual machining processes
- Knowledge of metalworking techniques and materials
- Basic understanding of CNC programming (optional but beneficial)
