Managing Director, Omnichannel Strategy & Practice
Summary/Position Objective
The Managing Director will lead the omnichannel consulting services for commercial and medical affairs clients, driving growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for the omnichannel practice, aligning with company strategic objectives.
Identify market trends and client needs to create service offerings that drive growth and differentiation.
Cultivate a strong understanding of clients' needs and translate them into bespoke service offerings.
Source from their own network, secure and lead a $3 million annual book of business; develop comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets, deliver compelling pitches, and lead contract negotiations to secure business deals.
Contribute to setting business direction and strategy, thought leadership, and the overall growth and scalability of the omnichannel practice.
Assess client organizational readiness for omnichannel transformation and recommend frameworks for capability development.
Guide clients in establishing governance structures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and cross-functional collaboration models to support omnichannel engagement, as well as change management initiatives to build internal understanding and adoption.
Partner with clients to define omnichannel objectives and develop actionable strategies to achieve them.
Oversee the creation of customer engagement journeys leveraging data-driven insights, customer personas, and market research.
Provide executive-level guidance on the integration of digital platforms and emerging technologies.
Implement best practices in content personalization, channel optimization, and audience segmentation.
Develop measurement frameworks to track value and impact, analyze performance metrics, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Serve as the steward of team and company culture; foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.
Build, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of omnichannel strategists, business analysts, and consultants.
Partner with multiple delivery teams across various accounts to successfully deliver projects with "right first time" quality.
Lead firm-building initiatives, individual and team development, and annual strategic business planning activities.
Collaborate in the continued growth and development of Red Nucleus.
Establish scalable processes and frameworks for omnichannel strategy development, execution, and measurement.
Continuously improve internal capabilities by identifying gaps and investing in new tools, technologies, and training.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
Establish partnerships with external technology providers, platforms, and data analytics firms.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences or business-related fields; Advanced degree in the Life Sciences, and/or MBA preferred.
Experience: 10+ years in management consulting, advisory, and/or digital strategy specifically for Life Sciences.
Strong history of successfully selling, delivering, and growing consulting revenues with a track record of sourced sales exceeding at least $3 million in the previous 2-3 years.
Extensive knowledge of digital platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and omnichannel engagement technologies.
