Summary/Position Objective

The Managing Director will lead the omnichannel consulting services for commercial and medical affairs clients, driving growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for the omnichannel practice, aligning with company strategic objectives.

  • Identify market trends and client needs to create service offerings that drive growth and differentiation.

  • Cultivate a strong understanding of clients' needs and translate them into bespoke service offerings.

  • Source from their own network, secure and lead a $3 million annual book of business; develop comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets, deliver compelling pitches, and lead contract negotiations to secure business deals.

  • Contribute to setting business direction and strategy, thought leadership, and the overall growth and scalability of the omnichannel practice.

  • Assess client organizational readiness for omnichannel transformation and recommend frameworks for capability development.

  • Guide clients in establishing governance structures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and cross-functional collaboration models to support omnichannel engagement, as well as change management initiatives to build internal understanding and adoption.

  • Partner with clients to define omnichannel objectives and develop actionable strategies to achieve them.

  • Oversee the creation of customer engagement journeys leveraging data-driven insights, customer personas, and market research.

  • Provide executive-level guidance on the integration of digital platforms and emerging technologies.

  • Implement best practices in content personalization, channel optimization, and audience segmentation.

  • Develop measurement frameworks to track value and impact, analyze performance metrics, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

  • Serve as the steward of team and company culture; foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.

  • Build, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of omnichannel strategists, business analysts, and consultants.

  • Partner with multiple delivery teams across various accounts to successfully deliver projects with "right first time" quality.

  • Lead firm-building initiatives, individual and team development, and annual strategic business planning activities.

  • Collaborate in the continued growth and development of Red Nucleus.

  • Establish scalable processes and frameworks for omnichannel strategy development, execution, and measurement.

  • Continuously improve internal capabilities by identifying gaps and investing in new tools, technologies, and training.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.

  • Establish partnerships with external technology providers, platforms, and data analytics firms.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences or business-related fields; Advanced degree in the Life Sciences, and/or MBA preferred.

  • Experience: 10+ years in management consulting, advisory, and/or digital strategy specifically for Life Sciences.

  • Strong history of successfully selling, delivering, and growing consulting revenues with a track record of sourced sales exceeding at least $3 million in the previous 2-3 years.

  • Extensive knowledge of digital platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and omnichannel engagement technologies.
