About the Role
The Managing Director of Accounting Advisory has primary responsibility for assisting with oversight of a service line and engagement team. As a leader of the firm, the Managing Director will demonstrate excellent project management skills, client service, and positive coaching to develop technical and professional competency within the team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in leading the growth of the Advisory practice by partnering with Leadership in developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans aligned with the firm’s mission and vision.
- Elevate the Centri Brand by demonstrating thought leadership and embracing marketing and sales programs.
- Build national relationships to expand the Centri Brand, developing business and revenue for the Firm.
- Lead and manage multiple concurrent engagements within the Accounting Advisory practice, providing technical accounting and financial or business advisory guidance to clients.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of complex accounting concepts to support Firm initiatives and development opportunities through internal knowledge sharing and panel discussions.
- Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds expectations, including coordinating the development and execution of consulting work plans and client deliverables.
- Collaborate directly with firm specialists and subject matter experts on complex accounting matters.
- Ensure the engagement team has an in-depth understanding of the client’s business.
- Assist in other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to thrive in an environment of changing priorities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent (required).
- Active CPA license.
- 12+ years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting or professional services experience highly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift items up to 30 pounds at times.
Pay
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the compensation range for this position is $235,000–$295,000 annually. This range reflects the expected base salary for candidates who meet the qualifications and experience outlined in the job posting. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, relevant experience, education, and geographic location. Additional components such as performance bonuses and comprehensive benefits may be offered as part of the total compensation package. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
