About the role
The Managing Director, Compliance Advisory will lead the development and implementation of compliance strategies that align with regulatory requirements and business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry best practices, as well as strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs that ensure adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
- Provide guidance and training to senior management and other stakeholders on compliance matters.
- Stay current with changes in regulatory environments and industry trends to inform compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance into business processes and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- At least 10 years of experience in legal/compliance roles, preferably in a financial services or regulated industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading compliance initiatives and managing complex projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment.
