Managing Consultant - Scheduling Specialist
About the role
The Capital Projects & Infrastructure Consulting team at Guidehouse is seeking experienced professionals with engineering and infrastructure delivery backgrounds, particularly those with deep expertise in project scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Guide and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar tools
- Lead client engagements and project teams, managing complex scheduling efforts across diverse infrastructure projects
- Mentor junior staff and drive results by helping client agencies solve real-world business challenges
- Develop and maintain performance metrics and project reporting, including dashboard development and KPI tracking
- Engage stakeholders, including owners, regulators, contractors, and community partners, to ensure alignment
- Deploy and utilize project technology and systems such as scheduling tools, PMIS platforms, and delay quantification tools
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Master’s degree (MBA, MS, MPP, MPA, etc.) preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Experience working in infrastructure-intensive industries (e.g., nuclear facilities, power or water utilities, transportation infrastructure, data centers, mining, and other infrastructure)
- Travel up to 75%
Qualifications
- US Citizenship required due to nature of client engagements
- No employment restrictions from a former employer that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described
Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00 - $188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
Schedule
The position may be eligible for a discretionary variable incentive bonus.
