About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Managing Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including real estate, business, and construction law, and must have at least 15 trials as lead attorney. This role requires exceptional legal research and drafting skills, as well as the ability to effectively represent clients in court. The successful candidate will be committed to providing high-quality legal services and advocating for clients' rights.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in litigation matters, including trials, hearings, and mediations.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision.
- Prepare for court appearances by organizing evidence and developing case strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain legal processes and provide updates on case status.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on complex cases.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas such as patent law, securities law, and estate planning.
- Manage case files efficiently and maintain accurate records of all legal proceedings.
Requirements
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes and procedures.
- At least 15 trials as lead attorney.
- Experience or familiarity with workers' compensation law, personal injury law, family law, patent law, securities law, or estate planning is preferred.
- Excellent legal writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive documents.
- Proficient in conducting legal research using various tools and resources.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective client interaction and courtroom representation.
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
- Ability to communicate and present; verbally, digitally, and in writing accurately and proficiently.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
