  • Related Commercial and Civil Disputes

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day performance of attorneys and paralegals.
  • Provide guidance on legal strategy, case progression, work quality, deadlines, and trial readiness.
  • Conduct structured case reviews and ensure matters are progressing appropriately.
  • Review substantive legal work and maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Monitor deadlines, legal risks, staffing needs, workload, and matter budgets.
  • Delegate work effectively among attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals.
  • Coach and develop attorneys through regular feedback, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Participate in attorney hiring, staffing, intake, and performance evaluation decisions.
  • Address performance concerns and ensure appropriate escalation of significant legal, client-service, or ethical issues.
  • Help establish and improve legal processes, standards, and workflows.
  • Support the responsible use of AI, legal technology, and technology-driven workflows.
  • Maintain an active litigation practice while providing leadership to the broader legal team.
  • Help develop a stronger, more accountable, and scalable legal organization.

Ideal Candidate

  • Approximately 10–18 years of litigation experience.
  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
  • Current Dallas-Fort Worth presence or willingness to work in the DFW area.
  • Strong experience in commercial, real estate, title, construction, business, insurance defense, or related civil litigation.
  • Significant courtroom experience, including first-chair trial experience or comparable responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising attorneys, paralegals, or other legal professionals.
  • Experience managing a diverse litigation portfolio with competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong delegation, coaching, mentoring, and performance-management skills.
  • Excellent legal judgment, communication, organization, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to take ownership, establish accountability, and improve team performance.
  • Interest in building and developing a growing legal practice.
  • Comfortable working with legal technology, AI tools, and structured workflows.
