Manager, Workflow Development
The Opportunity
This role is based in North America Consumer Packaging and is responsible for building, configuring, and supporting automated prepress workflows that enable standardized, high-performance operations across the network.
The Workflow Developer plays a key role in executing the enterprise workflow strategy by developing, testing, and deploying automation solutions that improve speed, quality, and efficiency. This position works closely with the Sr. Manager, Workflow Development, as well as plant teams, Technical Services, and IT to ensure workflow solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
The role supports pilot execution, system configuration, and ongoing optimization to ensure stable and repeatable workflow performance.
What You Need To Succeed
- 5+ years of experience in prepress, printing, packaging, or workflow automation environments
- Hands-on expertise with prepress systems (e.g., Esko Automation Engine, WebCenter, ArtPro+ or similar)
- Strong understanding of file preparation, color management, trapping, and print production requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and issue resolution
- Strong communication skills to support training, issue resolution, and documentation
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Commitment to process standardization, quality, and continuous improvement
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support plant implementation
