Manager, Workday People Strategic Insights
About the role
Manages the People Insights function, delivering workforce analytics, reporting, and insights that enable informed business and talent decisions. Partners with HR, Finance, and business leaders to address workforce challenges through data-driven analysis and consultation. Leads team intake, prioritization, and delivery, ensuring resources are aligned to strategic priorities while building capabilities that expand access to meaningful workforce insights.
As the Manager, Workday Strategic People Insights, you’ll sit within the Total Rewards and HR Operations team and lead three direct reports supporting a mature Workday HCM environment. This role is ideal for a people leader who can translate complex workforce data, reporting needs, and analytics capabilities into actionable insights that help HR and business leaders make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the People Insights function, providing leadership, direction, and oversight for workforce analytics, reporting, dashboards, and insights that support organizational priorities.
- Execute the People Insights strategy and roadmap, translating organizational priorities into team objectives, work plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Own intake, prioritization, resource planning, and service delivery processes for the People Insights function, balancing strategic initiatives, recurring deliverables, ticket-based requests, and stakeholder consulting needs.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to understand business needs and deliver data-driven recommendations that support talent, workforce planning, and business decisions.
- Establish and manage the operating model for the People Insights function, including intake, prioritization, resource allocation, service delivery, performance metrics, and stakeholder communications.
- Provide escalation support and delivery oversight for complex analyses, high-priority initiatives, executive-level requests, and People Insights projects.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing People Insights team while establishing standards for analytics, reporting, consulting, and stakeholder support.
- Promote and evolve Workday reporting and analytics capabilities while ensuring appropriate governance, data quality, security, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- BA or advanced degree; in lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
Skills
- Expertise in Workday Prism, Report Writer, Composite Reports, Worksheets, and Calc Fields.
- Experience in advanced data and visualization tools (e.g., R, Tableau).
- Knowledge of Peakon (ideal).

Pay
Salary range: $130,560.00 - $208,896.00. Starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience, training, specialized skill sets, licensure, certifications, and business needs. Base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an annual incentive bonus, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off (PTO), and competitive health and wellness programs.
Schedule
Hybrid Flex approach: work in the office at least two days a week for collaboration and connection, with flexibility to work remotely. Remote Flex roles work virtually with a few in-office visits each year. Onsite expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
