Manager, Strategy & Insights
About the role
As a Manager, Strategy and Insights, you will work across functions and with senior leaders to identify and evaluate critical strategic problems and priorities. Your role involves catalyzing action against these issues through strategy measurement and value management. You will act as a strategist, consultant, and implementer, playing a crucial part in building a healthy organization, setting the right strategy, and driving cross-functional efforts aligned with senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside core business functions to bring Shipt’s enterprise strategies to life.
- Lead high-impact research to define Shipt’s competitive advantage in new or emerging categories.
- Serve as the lead orchestrator for an internal insights Center of Excellence, partnering with intelligence vendors to build and execute a comprehensive insights roadmap that democratizes access to high-quality data.
- Lead analytical work streams to build business and value cases, coordinate working sessions with stakeholders, and prepare Executive-ready project deliverables for tactical and strategic support on a range of executive-level operations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (an advanced degree is preferred).
- Practical experience in strategic operations consulting roles, retail, supply chain, or other applicable industries, with 5+ years of experience.
- Experience developing business/value cases and financial forecasting to achieve company and business unit strategies.
- Experience leading cross-functional groups through influence to develop and implement new capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to break down problems into fundamental parts, identify root causes, synthesize findings, and make informed decisions.
- Experience with different types of analysis (e.g., financial analysis and modeling, process analysis, statistical measurement analysis).
- Strong project management skills, capable of managing execution, coordinating, prioritizing, establishing goals, and ensuring timelines are met.
- Proven ability to influence and communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing (including proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint).
- A demonstrated high level of initiative and organization, with the ability to be resilient and adaptable.

- Experience in retail, supply chain, or other relevant industries is highly valued.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies is beneficial.
Pay
Pay Range: $90,000 - $135,000. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
Schedule
Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, allowing flexibility between remote and in-office work. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require full-time in-office presence.
