Manager, Strategy & Insights
About the role
As a Manager, Strategy and Insights, you will work across functions and with senior leaders to identify and evaluate critical strategic problems and priorities. Your role involves catalyzing action against these issues through strategy measurement and value management. You will act as a strategist, consultant, and implementer, playing a crucial part in building a healthy organization, setting the right strategy, and driving cross-functional efforts aligned with senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside core business functions to bring Shipt’s enterprise strategies to life.
- Lead high-impact research to define Shipt’s competitive advantage in new or emerging categories.
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive insights roadmap, democratizing access to high-quality data.
- Coordinate analytical work streams to build business and value cases, and prepare Executive-ready project deliverables.
- Support executive-level operations by providing tactical and strategic insights.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred).
- Practical experience in strategic operations consulting, retail, supply chain, or similar industries, with 5+ years.
- Experience in developing business/value cases and financial forecasting.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing their actions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of breaking down problems, identifying root causes, synthesizing findings, and making informed decisions.
- Experience with various types of analysis, including financial analysis and modeling, process analysis, and statistical measurement analysis.
- Proven project management skills, managing execution, coordinating, prioritizing, establishing goals, and ensuring timelines are met.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- High initiative and organizational skills, with the ability to be resilient and adaptable.
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
- Advanced degree preferred.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $90,000 - $135,000, with individual total compensation varying based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and individual compensation may vary.
Schedule
Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, meaning they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office to facilitate innovation, collaboration, and team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require full-time in-office presence.
