Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Operations Manager, you will be a vital contributor to the financial health and seamless operations of our healthcare establishment.
Every day, you will manage a wide range of administrative and operational tasks, including optimizing workflows, coordinating resources, and supporting strategic initiatives. You'll ensure accurate record-keeping, provide excellent support to internal stakeholders, and collaborate with various departments to maintain efficient processes, all while upholding confidentiality and compliance.
To be successful, you'll combine strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a process-focused approach, directly impacting our operational efficiency and service quality.
- Affirms departmental competency and compliance to all regulatory, accreditation and hospital standards of care.
Justifies annual budgeting including, anticipates realistic volume trends, maintains an effective staffing plan, determines productive and non-productive expenditures, determines and prioritizes capital expeditures and determines non-labor expense requirements justified.
Implements control in fiscal management of the department, manages department budget within fiscal year approved targets, explores and initiates revenue enhancement activities. - Maintains adequate staffing for daily needs reflecting cost efficiency.
Carries out corrective and/or disciplinary action as necessary.
Provides cross-training programs to utilize staff at highest productive standards possible.
Ensures control of office supplies and equipment with emphasis on proper use, safety and cost containment.
Develops, implements and monitors department safety management programs which includes Workers' Compensation, patient safety and written safety procedures specific to departmental hazards, chemical hygiene, MSDS, accident investigation, safety training, bi-annual inspections, and safety policy enforcement procedures. - Works in collaboration with the Department Managers and Directors to develop and implement integrated policies and procedures.
Ensures that standards and policies and procedures are followed in daily practice.
Maintains confidentiality of information deemed confidential and takes steps to assure processes that protect confidentiality.
Reports, investigates, and completes correction plan within required timelines.
Monitors the effectiveness of correction plan. - Participates in activities that promote professional growth and development and maintains current knowledge base in all areas of responsibility.
Participates in the planning, development and implementation of organizational operational and strategic goals.
Evaluates staff in a timely manner following hospital policy.

Required
- Bachelor's degree upon hire
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in healthcare required.
A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of healthcare management preferred.
