About the Role
Under the direction of the Director, the Nursing Manager assists in planning and shares accountability for the standards and scope of nursing practice on their respective unit(s). The individual manages the flow of patients and information to expedite care, collaborates with physicians, demonstrates clinical competency and nursing judgment, and commits to improving the quality of patient care. The role involves working closely with the House Supervisor to determine the needs of clinical patient areas and responding to those needs to provide optimal care in a changing healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Current Utah nursing license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years in a nursing supervisory position (including Clinical Supervisor role) with at least 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care nursing setting
- Bachelor’s degree required within 3 years of hire
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ALS or ACLS) Certification
- Basic Rhythm Interpretation Class required within six months of hire
