What You’ll Be Doing
- Empower homeless programs in Ohio through professional, accurate, and timely customer service and technical assistance.
- Supervise and coordinate workload for staff in developing and reviewing grant applications for completion accuracy and alignment with HUD, Continua of Care, and state policy.
- Oversee the analysis of operating systems, policies, and/or procedures of grantees and their respective CoCs to determine the need for program improvements and assist in improving performance.
- Research and develop policies and best practices related to supportive housing and assess their impact on the implementation of homeless programs.
- Review grant applications, reports, and other documentation for accuracy and compliance, and enter data into electronic grant management systems.
- Monitor grantee implementation of supportive housing programs for compliance with program, state, and federal regulations, and provide feedback and technical assistance.
- Develop training, technical assistance, processes, and informational materials.
- Respond to public and grantee inquiries with sound metrics, accountability, and transparency, ensuring quality customer service and maintaining a partnering relationship on behalf of the Department and Governor.
Requirements
- Completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration/public administration, urban planning, or political science; 12 months training or 12 months experience in planning, developing, and/or implementing housing and/or homeless grant programs or real estate sales.
- Or 36 months training or 36 months experience in planning, developing, and/or implementing housing and/or homeless grant programs or real estate sales.
- Must be able to provide own transportation.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of grants administration, housing, research, policy direction, and compliance enforcement.
- Ability to analyze, pay attention to detail, build trust, manage conflict, and think critically.
