This role will lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains within a manufacturing environment. You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 2D CAD designers for high-quality design documentation
- Oversee delivery of comprehensive 2D drawing packages and installation documentation
- Ensure adherence to AutoCAD best practices and standards
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) processes
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization in CAD workflows
- Introduce automation tools to enhance design process efficiency
- Utilize project management tools for resource planning and project tracking
- Ensure quality assurance in design through established processes
- Collaborate with 3D teams and stakeholders to resolve design conflicts
- Mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (preferred) or Architecture
- 8+ years in structural design, construction, or large-scale mechanical systems
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD (2D)
- Proven leadership in managing design or engineering teams
- Expertise in AutoCAD drawing management and best practices
- Strong understanding of structural steel systems and construction documentation
- Experience in complex system design outputs, especially in automation

Pay
$125,000 – $171,600 annually
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
