Manager, Solutions Engineering | West Coast | Remote

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Solutions Engineering | West Coast | Remote to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will lead and develop a regional Solutions Engineering team while balancing direct field engagement with people leadership. The manager will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to strengthen customer adoption, support new logo growth, and align technical solutions with market needs. The position also plays a visible role in shaping regional strategy, coaching talent, and driving performance across key accounts and pipeline activities. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Attract, mentor, and develop a diverse team of Solutions Engineers
• Balance coaching responsibilities with field support to maximize team performance
• Lead key accounts and serve as an internal thought leader
• Plan and execute regional strategies in alignment with leadership goals
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to strengthen community and brand awareness
• Create enablement programs that support customer adoption of the company's technologies
• Partner with Product Management to align customer needs with product offerings
• Manage team performance metrics and pipeline activity for new logo acquisition

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the high-tech industry in roles such as Developer, Sales Engineer/Architect, or Manager
• Experience mentoring and managing performance over time
• Familiarity with open source or cloud-first, product-led sales strategies is a plus
• Experience with formal sales methodologies such as Command of the Message or MEDDPICC
• Proven history of selling monitoring, data, or visualization products
• Background in DevOps practices, including IaC, CI/CD, and GitHub Actions, is beneficial
• Ability to drive initiatives and exceed quarterly targets

Pay

$234,000 – $278,000 annually
