Manager Senior Living Memory Care

Job Summary

The Memory Care Manager is accountable for managing resident Memory Care services/operations and to assure the safety of Mercy McMahon Terrace's memory care residents while delivering care consistent with the philosophy and standards of Mercy McMahon Terrace.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, schedules, evaluates and oversees work of Resident Care Aides.
• Creates and implements quality programs to engage memory care residents.
• Assures residents are engaged in a meaningful program respectful of individual needs.
• Designs, implements and monitors facility processes and procedures to assure compliance with all appropriate regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Works in collaboration with department managers and staff to implement and maintain processes for regulatory compliance.
• Maintains records, policy and procedure manuals for memory care.
• Maintains and audits files necessary for Department of Social Services compliance.
• Observes changes in resident health; provides assistance and consultation to them and their families concerning ongoing health-related problems.
• Communicates regularly with family members.
• Controls supply budget and orders supplies as needed.
• Maintains a positive working relationship with all other departments.

Requirements

• Required: Bachelors of Arts and 2 years experience in memory care, elder care and staff supervision, upon hire or Bachelors of Science or equivalent education/experience in a related field, upon hire.
• PREFERRED: Masters of Arts and Management in an RCFE environment, upon hire.
• Preferred: Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA, upon hire or Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire.
