About the role

As part of the Security Operations Team, this position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across CityWalk and Universal Studios Hollywood. You will plan, organize, and direct crime prevention operations throughout our iconic theme park destination.

Responsibilities

• Promptly resolve security issues involving entities associated with Universal Studios Hollywood (USH) and CityWalk.
• Conduct detailed analysis of security incident and crime statistics, prepare reports, and present findings to management. Recommend security deployment and tactics based on analysis.
• Coordinate with contract security to ensure continuity of security functions and compliance with USH policies and procedures.
• Liaise with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and other law enforcement agencies.
• Collaborate with other NBCU and USH departments to provide timely notifications and conduct investigations.
• Analyze requests for security and law enforcement intervention, providing expertise and assistance.
• Conduct periodic audits of security operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality customer service.
• Maintain composure while handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure, ever-changing environment.
• Prepare operational and situational reports to assist in security deployment planning and risk mitigation.
• Provide complete, timely, and accurate documentation of incidents using company tracking systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in increasingly responsible positions in law enforcement or a related security profession.
• Proven organizational, written, and verbal communication skills effective at all levels of the organization.
• Availability and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business needs.
• Ability to adjust schedule and cover special events and shifts with short notice.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree preferred.
• Previous media or entertainment experience.
• Experience in a corporate security environment.
• Certified law enforcement or security trainer (e.g., POST certification).
• Working knowledge of security technology systems, including alarm monitoring and physical security systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in threat assessment, investigations, risk management, and counter-terrorism.
• Possession of a Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit.
• Possession of a BSIS Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit.

Pay

Salary range: $85,000 - $120,000 (bonus eligible).

Schedule

• Full-time, on-site at an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
• Nights, weekends, and holidays required based on business needs.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule and cover special events with short notice.
