Responsibilities
- Advanced Analytics & Modeling
- Extract Actionable Insights: Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets using advanced analytics and statistical techniques to uncover market trends, competitive strategy shifts, and revenue growth drivers.
- Optimize Pricing & Promotion Strategies: Lead price and promo elasticity studies. Leverage elasticity learnings to inform commercial strategies and conduct robust what-if simulations to assess potential pricing actions.
- Competitive Intelligence: Perform competitive SWOT analyses with a specific focus on RGM levers. Monitor competitive pricing and promotional activities and proactively share key insights and implications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- RGM: Collaborate closely to align on priorities, develop insights and recommendations, and embed analytics into the RGM process.
- Sales and Marketing: Partner to identify and evaluate price, promo, and assortment opportunities and influence commercial strategies.
- Finance: Work alongside Finance to assess the financial KPIs and P&L impacts associated with various pricing and promotional scenarios.
- Strategic Leadership and Commercial Storytelling
- Commercial Storytelling: Translate complex data insights into compelling commercial sell-in stories and actionable tactics.
- Project Management: Partner with and direct support teams to develop and disseminate automated analytics dashboards, enabling the organization to assess price and promo dynamics quickly and intuitively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in the CPG industry and familiarity with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep expertise in Advanced Analytics, specifically regarding Price & Promotion elasticity models and Assortment models.
- Advanced proficiency in the analysis of syndicated (Nielsen/Circana) and panel data, applying it to interpret market dynamics and address business questions.
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and presentations (PowerPoint/Google Slides).
- Commercial Acumen:
- Experience managing or strategizing with trade rates, alongside a familiarity with reading and interpreting Brand P&Ls.
- Leadership:
- Proven ability to exhibit thought leadership and comfortably influence senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Drive:
- Self-starter initiative with a proactive desire to seek out opportunities to grow the business through innovative pricing and promotional tactics.
- Collaboration:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated passion for working cross-functionally in a highly matrixed environment.
Pay
Salary Range: $124,000.00 - $174,000.00 USD. Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
